C. Williams is everything advertised.

ND won't be giving her the "prove it to me" treatment anymore. Megan Walker is much improved too.

ND defense was everything MM warned about. ND has been shooting the ball quicker this year with less passing because they have 5 WNBA prospects. But they couldn't beat UConn at their own game. They have 5 players that can beat the defender off of the dribble 15 feet plus from the basket. ND has Young and Arike. Still. They really negated ND's size advantage by making Turner and Sheppard have to defend the perimeter. This game showed why the Gilbert/Nixon absences hurt more than advertised. Marina has never shot well vs UConn. She's 2 for 17 from three and a combined 8 for 31 the last 3 games vs the Huskies. Two at the point. It's too much of a load for the only real shooter ND has. Arike is a scorer.

ND will get better. But so will UConn.

Marina was lights out

the first half at UConn her freshman year. Twenty or so points. Since then, a challenge....

Put her at SG and she’d be lights out

Hopefully when we meet again, MM can play the wing instead of point more frequently

UConn would have a lot of trouble with her inside/outside game and couldn’t close as tightly on her when she gets the ball and still has her dribble

I was surprised Muffet didn’t have Jackie or Aricke bring the ball up to start the O more frequently like she did last year in the tourney at times.

Agreed plus their other Freshman was good too. we could have
