I agree with what was said, but my thoughts include getting key minutes down the stretch for more players. Our starters play to many minutes and I have never felt that MM handles her timeouts and substitutions as well as Brey on the men's side. MM has much more talent and needs to learn how to use more of it instead of everyone playing so many minutes. For instance, Abby should have played more last night. Really nice play, battled hard, no more to be seen. We need more intensity from our girls on the floor and I think that our starters are gassed at the end of the game.
I thought another Abby and Dani spell would've been helpful at the start of the fourth, if for nothing else than to give someone a breather.
Abby is fundamentally solid on defense, rebounding and getting the system. Does not hurt us out there on D. Plus, she shoots free throws well!
Dani's run in the third was solid on defense. Just a spell is fine.
BTW, I'm not making full-roster predictions, but I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Abby is a starter or sixth man next year.
Jackie should run the point so MM can get her 3pt shot up
...vs 8 for Louisville.
Some credit to the Cardinals for disrupting our half-court flow. On the other hand, their disruptive style ran into a crew that was calling this, that and what?
Mabrey will work the point against some teams, Jackie a bit more on others and Arike seems to lead the break. And Jordan will come in to spell them....
