Fouls to give do not roll over.

But barely contested layups sure do.

Ps, it’s not misogynist if you accuse the men of the exact same mistakes, which I did last night.

And by the way

You'll have to excuse people if they don't believe you. Sometimes comments are a vehicle for something else. You didn't like Muffet's comments on non basketball related matters perhaps.

Save comments about the 1st half, but why try and

make the 2nd shot with less than 2 seconds on a FT? has that ever worked? the spread floor for the lay up was so telegraphed.

Commentator said coaching staff told her to miss

Seems like it didn't work out. Incidentally, I've seen this several times over the years at all levels of basketball, up to the NBA and Olympics. It's harder than you'd think for highly skilled athletes to miss a FT on purpose.

She was obviously trying to miss on purpose.

She assumed she needed to, mouthed (or yelled) to the sideline to confirm, and then rushed a line drive shot that unfortunately went in, after which she was visibly frustrated.

It's easy to miss on purpose.

It's really darn hard to miss on purpose in such a way that you can get a tap in with 1.9 seconds.

For that matter

it's hard to miss in such a way to maixmize your team getting a rebound. They didn't need a tip-in at that point, but Arike's task was still very difficult, and I suspect exhaustion had much to do with her missing only when she didn't want to.

So you’re doubling down

How quaint.

Yeah, it was a bad coaching moment

The sport is full of then during end of game scenarios.

Regardless of the claim

The fact that you chose to couch it in misogynist language, criticizing the most successful current coach for the university, who also happens to crusade for better representation of women in leadership roles and pay equity, is shit. And you should be shamed for your shit post.

well said and spot on *

it's misogynist, to respond to the edit to the OP.

That now-deleted (dare I guess bad-deleted?) post was far worse than any coaching decision, or non-decision, I've seen Muffet make over the last 32 years.

Definitely dare

Miami here is one of those people who probably should utilize the 24-hour rule, because it's going to become a two-week rule PFQ.
