I have the feeling we peaked against UConn. Just seemed to lack our usual energy and focus. Just seemed to me, we were missing that little something all night long.
We lost the mental game. They were stronger. We rushed shots, took the
wrong shot, wrong person taking the shot, missing to man FTs and Bunnies.
Many of the shots seemed forced and hitting the backboard or net wrong.
There was to much fumbling with the ball and weird out muscled more times
than I would have wanted. In my personal opinion that is part of the
mental game. I just did not think it would happen to this team.
...There is one other explanation. They put to much pressure on themselves
to win BTB NC's. As fans, we are partly to blame for that. We are always
talking about it. I am guilty in the first degree on that.
...I feel very bad for all those players and coaches. That is going to
be one heck of a long plane ride home. Been there.
...I also been in a game I lost at the last second thinking we won the
game. Official said our receiver was out. We checked, he was not. But
if you have never played sports. You have no idea how terrible the pain
is. The Pope and God himself can not get the pain to go away. At that
moment. Forty years down the run yes.
...My feeling since was I would rather loose by 1000 points a last second
play.

And yet, we were right there at the end
it’s not even funny. Baylor was unstoppable. They’d have destroyed UConn.
