An NY Times reporter followed her during the day (as ESPN did, too) and put together this story with input primarily from Arike and her mom.

Some tidbits:

- Oddly enough, Baylor recruited her for soccer.
- After the (championship) loss, (Kobe) Bryant reached out directly to encourage her.

Love this line:
"There seems to be something about Ogunbowale that make people root for her (unless they are part of the Connecticut faithful, that is)."
