Hey all:

Happy May. Just wanted to drop a post on a few subjects.

AAU Tournaments

- Irish coaching staff attended three AAU tournaments in Virginia (Boo Williams), Ohio and Texas.
- Boo Williams got the majority of coverage, which was lucky because most of the 2020 Irish prospects we've been discussing were there.
- I've linked/cut and pasted some write-ups about the tournament below in other threads, including info on 2020 prospects Caitlin Clark, Deja Kelly, Kylee Watson and commits Alli Campbell and Nat Marshall. 2021's Ari Wiggins and Matson Wilkie were also shouted out.
- There were good opportunities to double down at Boo Williams: Alli Campbell and Kylee Watson both play for the Philly Belles; and, Nat Marshall has been joined on Exodus by 2021 prospect Destiny Adams, a 6'3" virtual position-less offensive whiz.

- Next round of AAU events: - May 17-19: Non-scholastic events only

Official Visits (OV's): Weekend of May 3-5?

- Note the question mark. If one wants to have a prospect take an OV while "normal" activities are taking place on campus, this is it. There is a dead period for recruiting from May 6-12 (only phone calls allowed) and if memory holds, ND will be in finals and/or studying for finals that week.

- Who Could Come? If not now, then later.
Kylee Watson. Beside Nat Marshall (woohoo again!), the only other 2020 prospect who said she wanted to finish out her recruiting process before the summer was post/forward Watson, but her twitter gives little indication of next steps. She did take an OV to Oregon, but no immediate decision.

Next day edit: Kylee Watson announced she'll take an OV to ND in June, the third of three that she has planned, after Oregon and UCLA. Like being last in that group.

Caitlin Clark has said she'll make a decision in September, so that will drag out and hopefully result in an OV to ND in early to mid-September.
No word on Deja Kelly's plans (which might rest on what happens at Oregon and/or ND).

And way-under-the-radar but very familiar Maddy Westbeld has said she would like to have this done around summer's end, too. BTW, Maddy and her Sports City U travel team was in Cincinnati this past weekend, where an ND coach might've checked her out.

If anyone is on/around campus and sees/hears anything, please give us a post!

Transfers

- After Destinee Walker committed, Muffet McGraw said that was the end of (grad) transfers. But was that it for transfers, particularly now that Dani Patterson has entered the transfer portal?

- Sidney Cooks visited Mississippi State and apparently headed to Iowa, too. The Bulldogs have a pretty full roster and a towering junior college center just committed, so there could be some roster issues. Still, Cooks is a player. But not much to indicate any mutual interest at this point between the Irish and Cooks. Still, you never know....

- Ditto Evina Westbrook. She visited UConn and her buddy Megan Walker. However, UConn just got a 2019 commitment from a 6'0" Polish guard who allegedly plays wing and has two PG's committed for 2020. That's a lot of guards, along with Megatron and Christyn Williams. Still, you never know. Pay attention to the programs in the state of Oregon -- Westbrook's home state -- as well.

Update, Chart

- I've added more information to the update (see above).
- And here is an updated chart to reflect all this, courtesy of Baba, who will hopefully be adding his insights, humor and acute sense of the moment soon.
