recruits in other sports. I think women’s soccer had a few, I seem to recall a player from Finland or Sweden. Men’s soccer? Fencing has overseas recruits. Football just got a commitment from a German DE. Men’s basketball had a few (Croatia?) but they perhaps did high school in America, like Geben. Intriguing. As you mention, one would think European or South American Catholic countries would hold Notre Dame in high esteem. Spain, Italy, Croatia, Poland etc. Maybe a 6’10” Irish Lassie.
