Headline: Due to the Quiet Period and the exemptions for AAU tourneys being done (see immediately below), the action for recruiting shifts to college campuses in for the form of possible Official Visits (OV's) by high school juniors/rising seniors; and/or prospects attending elite basketball camps. ND's is being held June 28-20.

NCAA IN A QUIET PERIOD UNTIL JULY 5th

Until July 5th, The NCAA WBB is primarily in a QUIET period, during which a college coach may have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents on the college's campus. A coach may not watch student-athletes compete (unless on their college campus) or visit their high schools. They may write or telephone student-athletes or their parents.

There are three EVALUATION periods interspersed during this period, during which coaches may watch college-bound student-athletes compete. However, they can't have face-to-face contact off the college's campus.
These evaluation periods were:
- April 19-23: Scholastic events only
- April 26-28: Non-scholastic events only (AAU Invitationals, primarily. Irish coaches attended these in Virginia, Ohio and Texas)
- May 17-19: Non-scholastic events only (AAU Invitationals, primarily)

ON-CAMPUS CAMPS...

As said above, ND's camp runs in late June:
Team Camp - June 28-30
Open to high school aged teams (AAU, Varsity and JV)

Many college coaches use these camps to get to invite players they've seen in AAU Camps and/or on YouTube videos to campus to see them in more depth, personally engage them and, perhaps, even offer them.

SkinHoops86 included and endorsed a tweet by Coach Collette McCuin of Ole Miss (and Jacksonsville before that) on the value of summer camps (see tweet stream linked below).

MPG was pretty certain Alli Campbell came to an ND camp in Summer 2018 following Recruitapalooza/Nielefest in Fall 2017. It will be interesting to see what prospects come to this years camp.
