Grotesque. Hopefully it isn't long term.

Was a straight red issued? *

This continues to go on in the PL and it's starting to get stupid.

Kane and Alli challenges going unpunished, now this challenge gets a simple yellow and because Moss puts it in his match report that way, they won't override it. Ever.

1. Start banning players despite the match report indicating it's only 'careless' or tactical instead of SESO (i.e. SFP). The referee - right now - doesn't get the advantage of thorough video review. That's how you frame it publicly. Absolve the referees of the missed call and put the responsibility on the shoulders of the player who committed the challenge in the first place.

2. Encourage the referees to SEND OFF PLAYERS. Punish the ones who don't. Clatt's recent comments about not wanting to send off Tottenham's players in that late season match speak volumes. They don't want to be seen as 'affecting' the match in England. Screw that. If it's serious foul play or violent conduct, send them off.

This is getting to be frustrating to watch. It isn't football. The 'it's more physical in England' line is bullshit. The laws of the game are clear in regards to serious foul play and violent conduct.

The inconsistency is the real problem

There have been a litany of much softer reds this year, yet the examples you gave all deserved red and nothing, but one yellow out of 3.

It’s all so wildly inconsistent

Yeah, it was really bad by Puncheon

They did show him limping back towards the locker room after the game, hopefully that’s a positive sign.
