Zidane himself had a great quote about Makelele's departure along the lines of why are we putting another coat of paint on the Bentley when we're giving away the engine. I think Makelele was a very unique player who may never be fully replicated, but his young countryman has been impressive and I'd love to see that engine in white, especially as they transition to the post-Ronaldo era as he can help guys like Isco and Kova really shine.
