more than Michigan did. Michigan had 4 players play all 90 and one play 84. ND had two players play 76 and 75, respectively, and everyone else was under 70.
her limited minutes in the second half. There was no sign of injury. ND's defenders played poorly on both Michigan goals and the keeper, Littman, had no chance on either one. ND substituted frequently and the best defender, Rachel Heard, did not play. She may be injured.
Rachel was just finishing up her summer internship during the Michigan game. She was back for Purdue and will be a force this year. And, yes, we substituted liberally against both Michigan and Purdue and gave the freshmen a lot of minutes. Smart/good for team morale.
All reports are that Jen Westendorf is ready to go tonight for the season opener against Central Michigan. It will be interesting to see Coach Norman's starting line-up with 5 or 6 spots available due to graduating seniors. I think Coach will accomplish some great things at ND and hopefully he will hit the ground running this year.
Well, our big offensive weapon Jennifer Westendorf did not play after all in the season opener against CMU. Clearly, she is on the disabled list at this point in time. You have good instincts (and I have bad sources!) I will get that cleaned up.
Let me check and get back to you.
