guy referenced a rumor about Tyler Adams leaving for RB Leipzig, stating it was the "worst-kept secret in MLS this fall", and then immediately said, "Well, maybe the *second* worst-kept secret in MLS." I assume he was referring to this story.

Inasmuch as it has been reported (see link) that "In terms of hiring and firing the senior national team manager, Romeijn stated that the GM would research potential candidates, help compile a short list, and be an important part of the interview process, but that the ultimate decision would lie with the USSF Board of Directors."
Of course he can't comment. He had NOTHING to do with this search and has NOTHING to do with the actual negotiations.
