McKennie doesn't fit the Liverpool transfer profile at all. They look for either a.) players that will immediately compete for the starting 11, or b.) good value buys (free transfers, near end of contract bargains or young academy prospects). At this point McKennie is the kind of player that they would look to sell for profit, not buy and loan out.
