Liverpool still has a match in hand. And I don't know if you've noticed, but Bayern isn't exactly setting the world on fire, either. Based on form I'd call that tie 50-50 right now.
A match in hand with the point differential they have is hardly an advantage. It could very well be one beating united away and the other not. Liverpool had their chance to win one of the last two. They didnt.
I'd give them just about the same odds as winning champions league at this point. But without vvd, I'd say its highly unlikely too.
And VvD won't be a part of the half that are defenders. That's not a good recipe for leg 1. It might not be much better for leg 2.
I can see the first leg ending up 3-3 or something like that. It will come down to Liverpool scoring in Munich, I believe.
Didn’t you see City bottle it against Newcastle last week? Or against Leicester and Palace a few weeks ago? This City team (without a left back or a reserve defensive midfielder) has a few more losses left in them. And Liverpool doesn’t have two domestic cups to worry about. I’d still put money on Liverpool if I were a betting man.
Lots of soccer left to play and Liverpool is still in a fine position.
I probablh favor City to take it, but it’s definitley far from a done deal.
Champions league cookie will crumble? As in they’ll take 5th??? Did I miss something?
It’s jot really a sign that Liverpool is in trouble in the Premier League to lose to a club that hasn’t lost knockout phase to an EPL team in almost a decade.
By EPL teams, in their stadium, in the Champions League.
I know it.

And as I said, “almost a decade”
For a repeat of what happened the following year.
still not over that one.
And only on offside goals.
