The Nations League and Campeones League are just ways of appearing like European competition, our "Aspirational Peers", without actually making on the ground improvments. I understand this makes the games count more, but not sure it will improve our games the way it will improve Europe. In Europe, each tier has much more parity than any tier system in CONCACAF could have.

To counter Klinsmann's point with Europe now sucessfully implementing their Nations League instead of friendlies, we would now have a lot less aspirational peers to play friendlies against.
