That’s the best Liverpool have played

All season.

Get the red ribbons ready for May.

Let's get through 1/19 with this gap.

Then I might start to feel good. We need to get bodies back and avoid any other big injuries.

Feeling better after today's Wolves win? *

City are going to focus on Champions League and keep dropping points.

Leicester just can’t keep up. Good team, but not good enough to be perfect from here out.

Maybe when it’s March 1 and the gap is 24 NDBass will get the open top busses ready.

Agreed.

This race is over. I don’t think a VVD injury would even matter at this point. City and LCFC will both continue to drop points. 13 points plus a game in hand is insurmountable at this stage.

It's certainly looking more and more likely.

That being said, Liverpool are down to their last two defenders. If Vigil went down they have a couple 17 y/o and a 22 y/o that they just recalled from loan who wasn't getting time in Bundesliga 2. But they need bodies. Most likely Henderson or Wijnaldum are the backup CBs. And that would be robbing Peter to pay Paul, because they only have two senior backups at midfield (Lallana and Milner) with Ox and Fabinho out.

It's very likely that Liverpool will play six more games before they Lovren, Matip, Ox and/or Fabinho come back. Then Champions League picks back up.

It's about this time last year when Liverpool dropped points in 5 out of 7 matches - with a 9 point lead. And they were relatively healthy. The league is simply a grind.

Last year

Man City had to go 18-0-1 over the last half of the season to eclipse that lead by 1 point. They won't do that again this year and the lead is larger. and LCFC won't do anything close to that either. Assuming Liverpool at least draw their game in hand, they would need to drop 15 points or 16 points if MC or LCFC went perfect, respectively. Neither dropping 15 points nor perfect remainder of the seasons are likely to happen (with the latter being more certain).

Again, you're talking about a healthy team.

A key injury to the ones I've already noted could change things significantly.

And no, I don't see City going on a run like last year. But hell, would you put it past Sheikh to throw out some cash and land a Koulibaly? Signings like those could transform a defense like it did Liverpool's two Januarys ago.

Get through January, then I'll be ready.

Games will come at a more normal pace and injured players will be back.

It’s over.

Embrace it. Enjoy it. Rub it in.

They aren’t going to lose 4 times in the league but more importantly city and Leicester aren’t going to be perfect the rest of the way.

It’s over.

They are one VVD injury away...

Virgil is the one piece that holds everything together. His ability to read the game and coordinate the back line is unmatched by any defender in the world. He never panics and is almost never beaten. He allows the fullbacks to play as wingbacks because of the immense ground that he covers.

Nobody is catching Liverpool at this point. But if VVD were to go down, then there is a possibility that the wheels could come off.

You had to put it out there... *

A team that hasn't won the PL in 30 years is having the most incredible season ever (so far). Meanwhile, Munich has won the Bundesliga 7 years running during which they won the domestic cup 4 times as well (and 12 out of the last 15 BL seasons).

due to multiple reports of a public beatdown. Since this particular beatdown was completely legal, police took no action.
