Bit of Bayern history floated across my timeline

Today I learned that Bayern was rebuilt after the second world war by an exiled Jewish man that escaped from Dachau. I'm not certain if the Bayern supporters back here are aware of this bit of history (perhaps you are!) so I figured I'd share.

Bayern were the "Jewish Club" when Hitler took power

Landauer won the title in 1932, then he had to resign and eventually fled to Switzerland.

This story always gets me:
Bayern would later travel to Switzerland in 1943 for a friendly match, accompanied by the Nazi’s secret police to prevent any contact with German immigrants in Switzerland, most notably Landauer. When their game kicked off, instead of playing, the entire team rushed to the sidelines where they collectively greeted Landauer, who was sitting in the stands. A bittersweet reunion in protest.
