The 35% stake is dubious...

He probably will join IM, but that percentage seems way too high.

As in he will retain 35% after playing? Complete Bulls%*&

Maybe he gets a sweet deal that he will get 35% of profits or something while he is an active player, but no way he retains 1/3 ownership like.

Beckham and Mas just bought out Claure and Son for a very hefty pricetag. No way they will just give 1/3 of it away for free to a player. There has to be a time-limit for the 35% or extremely reduced permanent %.

The tweet states 'buying a 35%' stake. Maybe he gets a 35%

ownership interest but he is paying additional sums and what would otherwise be his salary is only a, potentially small, portion of his buy-in.

He wants one more year strolling in the park I see

A nice easy walk around the field. Maybe a few shots here and there.

If true, not sure how long he'll play.

He'll get absolutely destroyed in MLS. Likely a few double yellow/red cards for complaining to the PRO refs that ignore the butchering.

Then again, the opposite might happen. MLS will line PRO's pockets and getting within 2 feet of him will earn a defender a yellow card.
