Yes I am a bit tired of it at this point

I’ve seen some commentary from City fans in England where they say they have enjoyed traveling to Madrid as it is a nice town but they would like to try something different.

It’s a lot of wear and tear on our respective rosters to play this fixture year after year. Plus this year we will play three times.

City should win over the two legs

but both teams have showed some inconsistency. It is obvious Mbappe is hurt. He really needs to be shutdown for a period of time as the knee is not healing with spot breaks. I just can’t see how Madrid’s back line is going to keep discipline and not get torched but who knows…it is Champions and Madrid can be somewhat unpredictable, look horrible, and pull out games out of their behind.

some thoughts

Getting Guéhi has helped improve our defense which in turn has made us a little more consistent.

I don’t know that we have the firepower right now to score in bunches. Haaland is banged up and generally speaking we haven’t been as prolific at scoring as in the past. We do get overrun in midfield at times as well. We will likely bring in one more midfielder in the summer to compete the rebuild.

I would anticipate a close match over the two legs.
