Agree, historically, it looks unbalanced, but going off of this years' Champions League results, you have 1,4,5,7 on one side of the bracket, and then you have 2,3,6,and 8 on the other.

9 and 11 are on the one side, and 10 and 12 should be on the other, but 10 got knocked out in the playoff.

Similarly, 13 was knocked out on the other side

Is the contention that they should be balancing the brackets based on historical results rather than this years' standings? What's making it weird is really just Tottenham somehow finishing 4th in the league despite being terrible in the EPL.
