After 1986, they've only done it twice:

- 2002: USMNT
- 2014: Costa Rica

We had the game at home and still didn't get it done (and it wasn't close). We have a ways to go. I don't know if Poch is the one to get us there.
No coach is going to make up our current talent deficit.

The changes have to be bigger, and they're not going to be solved in one cycle.

with the ball before they received the pass and then did it. The US on the other hand first had to control the pass, then look up and try to figure out what they wanted or needed to do. It sucks but this was about far I expected them to go, but did not anticipate it to end so ugly.

And after their post game tweet you can bet your ass I'm rooting for whoever plays Belgium. They have entered Michigan territory...

loathe when our teams do not show up or play so scared that the simple elements of the game become a complete mess. Last night, the number of first touch breakdowns and errant passes that led to turnovers showed a team that got overwhelmed by the moment. Its a shame but expected against a quality opponent who will punish errors. Belgium will give Spain all they can handle.
