ND Soccer-Gallagher hat trick makes ND look real dangerous

Gallagher was outstanding at BC getting all three goals, two on direct kicks with beautiful bending shot in the upper corner. It's his first goals of the season but added to Farina's 4 goals and Dumas' great set up play (3 assists) our offense is starting to click. Add a stellar defense this should be a fun season. We were the only top 6 team who didn't lose or tie last week: #1 Stanford lost 2-0 to Tulsa, #2 WF lost 2-1 to Georgia State, #3 Clemson lost to NC State, and #4 Indiana tied $5 Maryland 0-0. We still have a tough schedule playing 5 of the top 13 ranked teams, but currently at 4-0 we could be #1 this week.

As for the women after coming off two tough double OT losses to difficult opponents they finally got some scoring winning 4-0 at Toledo. Westendorf continues to look great and scored again on a direct kick boomer. She now has 4 goals and 6 assists in 8 matches. Jacobs, Yu, Doyle, and Freshman sensation Hurm are al very dangerous. If the offense can get consistent and the team can shore up it's defense they could be very good coem tournament time.

Since most matches are on Watch ESPN it is easy to follow both teams even from the west coast.
