Yesterday in New York. Huddle ran 15:24, and Seidel was 11 seconds behind.

It was Huddle’s 25th National Title, and Seidel’s first podium not dressed as a turkey since graduation (see interview in link, first video).

Congrats to both.

And here is a pic of Seidel dressed up as a turkey https://www.facebook.com/berbeederby/photos/a.525525917511595.1073741825.135384473192410/1644321342298708/?type=3&theater

Huddle is just getting rolling into her current block of training, which will culminate with an American record attempt at the Houston Half Marathon in January. Next up for her is the Manchester Road Race in Connecticut on Thanksgiving.

That's the right course for it.

I was injured that year and wasn't running, so I was volunteering as a course timer at Mile 4 when Ryan Hall set the US record in 2007. He was already way ahead of the field at that point--he had already gapped Meb and Dan Browne. We checked the pace chart and thought he was nuts. Turns out he was actually that fit at that time--it was fun to watch.

Incidentally, Ryan Shay ran that year as well, about 10 months before his fatal run at the NYCM. He finished a ways back, but I knew who he was because he went to ND, so I gave him a big cheer as he went by.

The race organization in Houston is second to none--the elites tend to really like running there. Here's hoping for a nice cool day...

Also doing a spring marathon.

Likely Boston. Can't wait to see how she does.

was going to train and run in the marathon after last year's top 3 finish in her initial attempt at that distance. She is a great runner at whatever distance.

Thanks for sharing. Great interviews. Go ND Mollies!!! *
