With the score tied 3-3 it came down to #1 singles. ND won in a third set tiebreaker.

Doesn't get any closer than that.

Based on Oracle/ITA Division I Men's Ranking as of January 31, 2018 the top 12 teams (#1 Wake Forest, 2 Ohio State, 3 North Carolina, 4 Georgia, 5 USC. 6 UCLA, 7 Texas A&M, 8 Florida, 9 Baylor, 10 Stanford, 11 Oklahoma State. 12 Illinois) will all be there. In addition there will be #17 Columbia & #19 Duke along with newly #23 ranked Notre Dame (which was the only unranked team gaining ranking in the new poll) plus host unranked Washington.

Hopefully ND can have a good showing. The link gives the info on the meet from the UW website.
