I'd take GS over slalom.

It looks a little more accessible.

For comparison, the decathlon is:
100 metres
Long jump
Shot put
High jump
400 metres
110 metres hurdles
Discus throw
Pole vault
Javelin throw
1500 metres

Several of those are pretty specialized. I don't think ski jumping would be out of place.
