Did the women build enough of a lead for the men?

Are they weak on the men's side?

they only have 10 men; ND, OSU and Columbia have 12

12 fencers means 46 more opportunities to score

Can I ask a question about number of men fencing

If I am reading the potential points column correctly, PSU only has 4 men fencing while ND has 6. That is a huge advantage for ND. Also, ND was ranked one spot higher than PSU in the most recent poll, #4 to #5.

Both Columbia and OSU have 6 men fencing, and both were ranked higher with OSU #1. So the 19 point lead over OSU is very helpful.

correct. PSU is 2nd now, but it is very unlikely they will

be in the top 3 at the end.
OSU men are ranked #1 and have 12 fencers. They are very good. A 19 point lead is huge. Columbia men are ranked 3rd and also have 12 fencers. A nine point lead is important.
Our men are ranked 4th. However, our men were ranked #1 earlier in the season and we have a lot of talent and experience.
The lead is helpful. It would be nice to grow it, but hopefully it provides enough of a cushion to win the NC even if the men do not beat OSU and Columbia outright .
