She ran at Dowling Catholic, and her brother is on the ND CC team.

Maybe there was a scholarship limit.

After I responded, I found some articles on her. Apparently she wasn't a superstar in high school, but somehow Mizzu found her. It's too bad, it would have been great to have her bridge the small gap between Molly S. and now Anna - might have gotten us a team CC title or something great like that.
