Palmer Jackson, an incoming freshman, is tied for second in the first round of the US Amateur being played at Pinehurst.

Even after shooting a 76 in the 2nd round.
He just won his 1st match 3 and 2 to advance to final 32
Jackson won two matches today (Thursday).

Very impressive. There were almost 360 golfers who started the tournament at Pinehurst and he survived to the quarterfinals. Congratulations Palmer Jackson.
