...Jacobs now runs for Tennessee, having followed former XC and Distance Coach Sean Carlson, when the Vols threw a boatload of cash to him for coaching just distance (as opposed to being the overall track coach at ND).

This is Jacob's last year, however, and I can understand him wanting to stay with the coach he feels got him where he is. Still, I can't shake the idea that the Vols made the offer to Carlson just after ND baseball upset Tennessee at home in baseball.
