indoor boards ran the second fastest indoor mile (200 yard laps) ever with a huge cap over a competitive field (all 8 runners set personal bests in the race. He missed the WR by abut 0.3 seconds.

His time was 3:47. The world record for the outdoor mile (400m lap) is 3:43 - although the mile race is not run frequently. Also the races today had pacers that aided times, rather than the "tactical" races we see most of the time.


That was really fun to watch. *

I think they said it was the second fastest time ever recorded. He was about a half second off the world record.
