placed 2nd (to Katelyn Tuohy) in the 3,000 meter at the NCAA Indoor Championship meet. She had already anchored the DMR (she ran the mile), where she made up a ton or time and places to get 3rd for Notre Dame.

Brilliant race for Olivia

Just saw the replay on ESPNU. After leading for the first 5 minutes, Olivia started falling back as others tried to stretch it out. However, nobody was beating Tuohy today. She is on another level. The Oklahoma State runner tried going with Tuohy with about 4 laps to go. Olivia stayed smart, sitting back while the pack tried to chase. With 1 1/2 laps to go, she was in 8th, at least 50 meters back from the OSU runner, as Tuohy was saying bye-bye. Olivia then blew by 3-4 others on the backstretch, and eventually reeled in the OSU runner in the last 20 yards. Just outstanding, such a smart run.

Thx for sharing. She's another strong ND distance runner. *
