"Is Notre Dame improving?"
or
"Does even limited play by Morgan Gaerte make a big difference?"
couldn't find it.as the game was 19-14 then 20-14. I missed the hilarity from the coach that Radiskull pointed out.
But yes the team looks awesome against pretty inferior 0-6 Northwestern team.
certainly has the rhythm, though I probably wasn't as amused as you. No apologies necessary from you nor Baba as I do often fast foreword through these and couldn't catch what was called out. I actually appreciate you guys calling attention to broadcasts. I still would love to hear any first hand knowledge on this VBall on ice because it seemed like an excellent home court advantage if ND decided to play all their home matches there vs the cavernous ACC. The echos in the hockey arena is obvious and as I commented I always thought it was chilly the few times I was there, but then it always had exposed ice. Knowing they stopped the hockey sticks I was wondering if they could do it on an ongoing basis. Still even doing once a year was a smart event,
As for the team, I also am very impressed with Schrader's role on the team. These triple doubles are amazing. I don't remember her playing this way last year. One of my favorite setters was Oregon's Hannah Pukis who last year led Oregon to the Qtrfinals along with Outside Hitter Mimi Colyer. Hannah had the height (5'11") and instincts to be an outside hitter but her role as setter and getting digs is was what the team wanted. She did have good kills but they were rare. It seems like Schrader at 6' is getting more opportunities and my guess because of her setting ability she is getting a good kill % since the other team doesn't set up up to block her. Good strategy.
Also I never really had heard of triple doubles in VB. Checking NCAA stats they only started tracking them since 2014. The season record of 14 was made last year by a Coastal Carolina setter Jalyn Stout. It turns out Jalyn is leading that catefory again this year with 4, one more than Phyona.
