Can ND attract such a person? Why would an AD from a high level D1 institution want to leave and take on the role at ND and the unique challenges that exist?

Is it unique that the last 2 guys we have hired have been a lawyer and a TV executive? I have to admit to not having paid attention to the backgrounds of ADs from other schools immediately prior to their hirings.

I ask these with no real agenda - just questions I am curious about...
