in the Hall. Thankfully, they have loosened things up, but this might be a little too loose.

I am a Cub fan, but I liked Baines as a player and a person, but there is no way I think he belongs in the Hall of Fame.

The same with Lee Smith. He was a very good player, but not a lights out closer. I was always nervous when he was closing games.

I agree that someone like Lou Whitaker should go in first, although Lou was not the best best second baseman in baseball for 15 years as someone else posted. He only made 5 all star teams.
