GB's special teams coach should never coach another game
by kdh325 (2022-01-22 22:56:26)

Un-freaking-believable.

True, but this game is also on Rodgers and the offense.

10 points? Zero first downs on two drives with the game on the line?

Not good enough.

and don't forget the sacks that occurred when GB was twice

in the redzone, AND the third down sack right before the blocked punt. Pass protection broke down at the worst possible moments.

and piss poor redzone offense.

how many f'ing times are they going to lose AT HOME in the playoffs under Rodgers?

Full agreeance--1 of the most improbable finishes...

I can recall seeing in a big FB game in quite some time.

Full credit to the SF defense, but Rodgers was crap tonight.

5.8 yards per pass. Locked onto Adams for most of the night. Poor ball placement preventing any yards after the catch. Really surprising to see. Really sad if that’s his last game in Green Bay.

at least it's easier now for Pack fans to let him leave.

They won't have to endure another epic choke at home in the playoffs

Or have to worry about the playoffs at all. You should be on

Your knees begging him to come back. Love is not the next in line, hate to tell you that. Gb's run of 26 years or whatever of outstanding qb will be over.

they should fight like hell to keep him *

Especially because it probably means Adams as well. *

They literally cannot keep both

I mean, they could I’m sure, but they are $40M over next years cap just with players under contract. That’s 40 or so players, and doesn’t account for draft picks. Davante is a free agent and wants to (and deserves to) be the highest paid WR. Rodgers could obviously restructure, but how much can that save? They also must extend Jaire. I’d rather they all come back, but it can’t happen.

only 1 SB appearance in 15 years. Jordan Love can't do

much worse than that. Rodgers is the Wilt Chamberlain to Tom Brady's Bill Russell.

That’s adorable *

Unfortunately I wouldn’t go that far. We’ll miss Rodgers.

They might not even be a playoff team without him, and we may find out next year.

and who would've thought after the opening drive that would

be it for the night. And, this can't be overstated, but how many times has the defense, in the past 2 years at least, played lights out for the first 26-27 minutes in either half and then completely shit the bed?

Not just the opening TD drive ...
by CJC  (2022-01-24 15:24:29)     cannot delete  |  Edit  |  Return to Board  |  Ignore Poster   |   Highlight Poster  |   Reply to Post

On their first two drives (the TD drive and the one that ended in the fumble), Green Bay had eight first downs.

They had six for the rest of the game.

As tough as the 49ers defense played the rest of the night, I'm not convinced that at 14-0 that game wouldn't have been a lost cause for the 49ers.

The fumble by Lewis killed them. Would have been 14-0. *

then a sack. That's 4 extra points.
