Putting aside the fact that Watson didn't deviate from his route at all and the safety ran into him, contact was at the 5, and the LOS was the 6....that's legal within 1 yard of the LOS.
Then you have La Porta literally setting a block and boxing out on a DB 10 yards downfield like 2 plays later , and St. Brown blatantly pushing on off on Nixon with no flags. So we've flagged a questionable OPI and ignored two blatant ones within the span of two series.
Finally, a jersey grab and pull from behind on a blitzer in space with an open path to Goff on the last TD. It was one of the most obvious holds I've ever seen.
Infuriating.
Refs were checking their smartphones for restaurant reservations.
Ross Tucker on the Westwood One broadcast could not understand the OPI call on Watson and brought it up multiple times on the broadcast. It was shades of 2014 FSU.
There was a hit on Wycks in the game where I think he got hit in the head with no call, but I wasn't watching so I can't make a judgement there.
they should make penalties like those red-flag reviewable. Slow down the game? Hell, yes. So....get it right.
...when Love got clubbed in the face with no call on the first or second series.
I don't know how you could execute reviewable penalties. I'm sure a penalty occurs on nearly every play.
What I thought was hilarious was that the announcers couldn't figure out what La Fleur was pissed about......
