starting to look like Colorado won't break the Sox's record

I had such high hopes for them, too.

not have the second worst record in franchise history. Can they win 6 more games?

I'm biting my nails to the quick.

They were just eliminated from playoff contention

Last year they were eliminated on August 17, so they are making progress.

This Cubs fan does not mean to pile on here. As Chicago sports fans we all share in Reinsdorf-inflicted anguish to some degree. I can’t imagine it being double. Just making some light of things.

I'm a die-hard Cubs fan.

2005 was the worst, on the heels of what could have been for the Cubs in 2003.

It used to be funny if the Sox had a bad season, but baseball is better if both Chicago teams are competitive. I hope the post-Reinsdorf era is better for them.

Aw, man! Damn *

Jerry deserves to be the owner of that record.

Yeah

They are bad, but to go 1-21 down the stretch would be awful, and that's what is needed to "break" it. A 2-20 finish creates a tie.

Both of those are insanely unlikely.

I want the White Sox to own that record ...

Until Reinsdorf's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandchild loses his last nickel in a Ponzi scheme.
