Is the NYG OL the worst in the NFL?

I'll hang up and listen...

I know Thomas was out, but holy crap that was a sad display out there yesterday.

their GM. Hard to believe he still has a job.

Dave Gettleman has provided Schoen cover

His drafting from 2018-21 was horrendous. It started by choosing Saquan Barkley #2 overall instead of trading down and choosing, in addition to acquired draft capital, players like #6 Quentin Nelson, #7 Josh Allen...and the list goes on. By then the NFL had proven that running backs do not merit such a high pick, notwithstanding what Barkley did for Philly last season, particularly absent a good offensive line. But that was worsened by overreaching at #6 overall in 2019 for Daniel Jones, and the (mis)handling of the end of the Eli Manning era.

Andrew Thomas at #4 overall in 2020 seemed a good pick for a long-term LT (though through no fault of Gettleman he has been injury prone) and Xavier McKinney was a good 2nd round pick, but Kadarius Toney at #20 overall in 2021 was yet another bust. And Gettleman hired the absurd Joe Judge to be the head coach, elevating him from the Patriots special teams coach: 2 years, 10-23.

I am pretty confident, though, that your disbelief will be remedied at or before the end of this season when Schoen and Daboll lose their jobs. The mishandling of what roster was left by Gettleman, and the inability to improve that roster, starting with the 2022 draft, selecting an overrated Kayvon Thibodeaux #5 overall and then the absolutely lost Evan Neal at #7 overall, and losing quality starters like Barkley and McKinney (and one Julian Love in 2023) by mismanaging the salary cap and not paying them, will do them in regardless of how Jaxson Dart and Abdul Carter ultimately perform.

A new staff will get to make the next high 1st round pick for the Giants in 2026.

I know they've added some interior talent ...

Except for mid-80's, not so many thrills since.

I am hopeful that they’ll improve

I would say I’m optimistic, but I don’t want to have to come back here and eat that word later tonight.
