1) His plate discipline was at the top of the Mets farm team rankings. His OBP and walk rates were good at every level.
2) He has elite speed, and when matched with his OBP, is a good thing
3) His CF defensive metrics were outstanding (as an aside why can't a 5' 7" guy play CF in MLB?)
4) His power was above expected given 1-3

He's never going to lead the team in HRs, but he has pop. He's going to play elite levels of defense. Get on base a ton and run around the bases when he does get on. Plus, he's pretty damn scrappy and everyone considers him a "gamer" who does all the little stuff day in and day out.

Time will tell. I'm not writing this stuff about Sproat, and I'm not writing it about other Mets prospects. From all accounts, everyone was high on him. Very high on him.
