His question has to do with a player who was 5'6".

There is one player in the Hall of Fame who was also 5'6". He's the shortest player in the Hall, and no doubt also had the smallest feet, with a shoe size of 5 and half, but also had an 18 inch neck circumference. And none of those are his most important record.

I don't think he is the shortest player in the Hall of Fame

(Wee Willie Keeler hit enough where they ain't to get in) but Hack Wilson had an 18 inch neck to go along with his 190 RBI.

Are you surprised...

by Keeler's BB stats? I am amazed most seasons he had more stolen bases than walks. Pretty impressive he's nearly a 3K hits guy. Definitely deserving of Cooperstown.

I'll tell you what doesn't surprise me

That a man publicly known as Wee Willie never married and never had any children.

He should have taken a cue from the re-naming done in the one of Laurie Bohner's last films (the one for which she learned to play the ukulele): Not-So-Tiny Tim

You can't teach height, Padre! *

Keeper was indeed 2 inches wee-er.

But’ll bet he had bigger feet.
