Kevin Corrigan should be fired. by Porpoiseboy

This is the thread and a decent time to discuss such a topic.

I disagree 100% with the subject of this post. I am still quite pleased Kevin's HC.

He put us in position, yet again, to battle for a national championship. Making the final 8 is no mean feat.

If you believe Kev should get the ole heave ho, give your reasons. I never played for Kevin. I don't know the first thing about him as a person. If you have such experience, it would be great to hear what you have to say.

If anyone thinks UVA, Duke, or ND had similar situations and outcomes in the tournament, share them. I honestly crack up thinking about some posters crucifying Kevin for how we lost to Duke, claiming Danowski is clearly Kevin's superior, then watching Danowski lose nearly exactly the same way in his next game. Sure, I want us to beat Duke in everything every time we play them. Sure, Duke has owned us in lacrosse for a decade. But I don't believe for a second it's because there is a clear difference in quality between the HCs. I do agree that if we're pretty much similar in quality over that span, some of those matchups should have fallen ND's way. Sadly, though, our only wins against them in that span have come in the regular season.

Kevin's taken us to the final game twice. I am not sure what it is a fan would look for in a coach more than what Kevin has done for ND's program. The dire disappointment we feel for not having a national championship is there. Charles Barkley probably feels that pain, too.

I guess I could come up with tons of stats why Kevin's a good HC, worthy of ND, building a program based on excellence. I'll save my breath until anyone makes even close to a valid argument Kevin should be sacked.
