Weather Forecast – The weekend will remain colder warming a little next week. Weekend highs are around 47, then down to around 40 on Monday and then warming to mid 50’s by Wednesday. Expect rain on Saturday, possibly on Sunday evening into Monday morning. It could turn to snow Monday morning.
For a cold week in January, there are a lot of options for things to do in Nashville. Time is running out for the Smashville Holiday Festival at Ascend. At the same time, you can dream of summer when visiting the Nashville Boat and Sportshow at the Music City Center. For something a little different, check out Jurassic Quest or CoffeeChamps. Highlighting the music choices: Bob Seger and Willie: Life & Songs Of An American Outlaw.
Tickets go on sale for two shows coming to the Ryman: Buddy Guy and Mandolin Orange. Also, tickets went on sale yesterday for the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festivals.

Stay Golden – 901 Woodland St. - As you know if you have read long here at all, I love a good coffee shop. I love it even more when it is a block from where I live. So you can probably guess, I really like Stay Golden. It’s been open a couple of weeks and I am already a regular. It is located in the WeWork Building in East Nashville. The space is open with a lot of bar space, tables, and counters. Wherever you sit, someone will come and take your order. That leads us the best part – the menu. At Stay Golden, you can get specialty quality coffee, restaurant quality food, and craft cocktails. I have tried the coffee and food so far and I agree with the assessment. I think the added option of craft cocktails (including craft coffee cocktails) sets them apart. The menu combines breakfast and lunch options and I always enjoy somewhere I can always get breakfast. My go to item so far has been the Breakfast Plate which is eggs, bacon/sausage, really yummy potatoes, and toast. There are options for grain bowls, sandwiches, and burgers. The coffee is really good with hot and cold options. There are a number of Augmented Coffee drinks which all look really yummy. The staff has been super nice each time I have been. As you can tell, I am a fan. There is a second location on Sidco Drive. The East Nashville location is open Monday-Friday from 7AM-5PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8AM-4PM.
