Good for Japan, but is anyone really upset by this? by ndgotrobbedin97

Not sure if the author is familiar, but softball is quite a popular sport in the US, and the US women are right at the top of the heap of the world rankings. It's not as if girls can't play a comparable sport to the men.

Women's baseball (which I didn't even know was a thing in an international sense) is about as relevant in the world as water polo or team handball----actually, probably much less relevant, so I'm not sure I understand the national "crisis" alluded to by the tone of the article. I'm all for the US women succeeding in baseball. But, I don't see that this has to be posed as some social cause. Rather it's likely more of a nicety, like a fine liquor or a luxury automobile. Hell, they kicked baseball out of the Olympics.

This article reminds me some people just want to bitch about something. Or anything. Or everything. There is always a cause to moan about. No one can ever be ultimately happy. They're always about to be wronged by some SOB out there.

Sorry. Bad timing. Perhaps I've just dealt with too many parents recently that think their kid is the best (each one; 50 of them) and if you don't think so it must be personal. I'm salty.
