I ordered tickets for VT. They said they sent them out regular mail (no tracking) about two weeks before the game.

Ticket do not arrive one week before the game. They tell me I may need to show up at the stadium, wait in line, and get a replacement set. I am POed and tell them that someone there will find me another set since it was their job to get the tix to me, not vice versa.

A manager calls back about an hour later. He says my tickets were returned (I have lived at the same address for 20 years) and are in the ND ticket office. Luckily, my son was on campus and he was using the tickets. So, he went and picked them up.

$13 billion endowment and some bean counter is trying to save about $10,000 by sending the tickets out regular mail rather than certified. Idiotic.
