As crazy as it sounds, that minimizes the magnitude by LuckyMcD

Since 1996 they have played ONE game outside the conference footprint...it was a bowl game...played in a dome...in Arizona. Their last game played north of the Mason-Dixon was in 1991...it was played in September...in a dome.

Since the program resumed playing after World War II, more than 2/3 of their games (601 of 873) have been played in their home state. Only three have been played north of the Mason-Dixon line. They played Syracuse in the Carrier Dome in September 1991. They played Rutgers at the Meadowlands in October 1986. They played at Northwestern in September 1965. That's it since 1943.

Before World War II they made trips to the north every couple years (4-12 all time north of the Mason-Dixon), but the last time they played north of the Mason-Dixon line after Halloween was on 11/2/29 at Harvard. The one and only time they played north of the Mason-Dixon as late as our scheduled game with them in 2031 was on 11/18/16 also in Indiana, but that time was against the Hoosiers.
