I think that's hockey now by Hunt

You see that in the NHL playoffs this year, and every year, lately.

The regular season just doesn't matter.

The best teams in both conferences went down quickly in round 1. The other two division winners are in fights for their lives. The third seed is up 3-2 on the sexond seed in three of the four series. In the NCAA, the #1 seed went down in round 1...again.

I jokingly call the first day of the NHL playoffs "opening day." The regular season is fun because I love good hockey, but meaningful hockey doesn't start until the playoffs.

I'm with you 100%.
