Former Lake Superior Stater netminder Blaine Lacher died by wearendhockey

earlier this week. He backstopped Jeff Jackson's 1994 LSSU squad to the NCAA championship. He also anchored the net for Jackson's team the previous season, winning 24 games enroute to the NCAA title game as well as playing for the 1992 team that also celebrated an NCAA championship. He was only 53. No cause for his passing was given by his family.
