New Name: Ayanna Patterson, 6'3" Frosh at Homestead HS by dillon77

..in Fort Wayne. Indy Star article attached, but a few points:

- averages 12.9 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots per game in her first year of varsity basketball.

- How many HS freshmen can dunk? Ayanna has done it in practice.
“I told her it doesn’t count unless you dunk on somebody,” said her father, Andre Patterson (who played with Walter Berry in high school in Harlem).

- Ayanna was a 13-year-old eighth grader when she received her first scholarship offer, from Indiana. Purdue, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Temple, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia are among others that have followed suit.

- Notre Dame has high interest, but does not typically offer scholarships that early.

Solid gene pool. Seems humble. Very good high school program. Stay tuned.

(Tip of the hat to CharliebBall for pointing this out...)
