Important notes on articles:

• Please do not copy entire articles into your post; rather, provide links to them.. We are now links-only for ALL Internet publications. If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.

Here's what I basically wrote below.

As dillon says there must be mutual interest here. That means you must believe the Irish coaches have interest in another point guard—most likely as a Plan B, but, as Orangutan points out, she is an elite recruit—not a top 5, but elite.

At the least, it does not add to one's confidence that Ms. Bueckers and/or Ms. Clark are giving increasingly positive signals to the coaching staff.

I believe Muffet and company are doing everything possible to sign Paige and Caitlin, but I can't see how this can be spun as a positive that either of those top guards are closer to signing. Not necessarily a negative, but not a positive with regards to Paige and Caitlin.

I'm not losing hope in the slightest, and still think ND has as good, if not better, chance to sign one (dare we hope two) of the top 2 point guards in the 2020 class than any other team. But if I'm honest, the pursuit of Deja Kelly, while it may turn out to be the best thing ever for NDWBB, does not increase confidence that Paige or Caitlin are closer to signing.

I definitely agree that the next few weeks and months will be enlightening.
