2019-20 NCAA D-1 WBB Recruiting Calendars Start Up by dillon77

Hey everyone:

The NCAA puts out it's calendars from Aug. 1 of a year to July 31st.
Here's a link to the Division 1 Women's Basketball Calendar.

All of August is currently a "Quiet Period," which is described as:
"...that period
of time when it is permissible
to make in-person recruiting
contacts only on the member institution’s campus. No in-person,
off-campus recruiting contacts or
evaluations may be made during
the quiet period."

In fact, this week is a recruiting shutdown, where
"No form of recruiting is
permitted."

So, if MM and staff have not settled on a successor (s) to Niele, this would be an appropriate week, even month, to do so.

All of September after the 9th is a contact period:
"A contact period is that period
of time when it is permissible for
authorized athletics department staff members to make
in-person, off-campus recruiting
contacts and evaluations."

So, expect the new recruiting coordinator and perhaps other coaches to hit the road in September. And, of course, this is prime time for Official Visits, when current seniors can visit up to 5 campuses on the college's dime. Expect ND to bring targeted seniors in for home games, such as New Mexico State or Virginia.

For those who follow recruiting, this information is good to have stored on the computer or your hard-copy file. Feel free to download and/or print.

I'll work on bringing the update up-to-speed during this quiet period in anticipation of the September Contact period.
